Parent & Me classes are shared experiences for young children and their parent, grandparent, caregiver, or other special grown-up.
Children have opportunities to explore, play, move, create, and learn while their grown-up participates alongside them.
These classes are also a wonderful introduction to group learning for children who aren't yet ready to attend independently.
-
Learning Pods are intentionally small-group enrichment experiences designed to give young learners opportunities to explore, create, communicate, and build confidence.
Activities may incorporate early literacy, art, sensory experiences, science and discovery, music and movement, fine-motor activities, imaginative play, and social-emotional learning.
Our small-group format allows children to participate actively rather than getting lost in a large class.
-
We intentionally keep our groups small, typically with no more than eight children.
Smaller groups allow for more meaningful participation, greater connection, and more opportunities for our instructors to notice and respond to each child's interests and needs.
It's one of the things that makes the Circle Time experience differe
What to Expect
-
Every program is a little different, but classes are designed around active, hands-on participation.
Depending on the class, children might listen to a story, create art, investigate a sensory invitation, sing and move, experiment with materials, practice early learning concepts, collaborate with classmates, or explore a seasonal theme.
Our goal isn't to keep children sitting still for an entire class.
We want them exploring, participating, creating, wondering, and learning through experience
-
No.
Our programs are designed around children's developmental stages, and we don't expect children to arrive having already mastered particular academic skills unless a specific program description says otherwise.
We encourage children to try, explore, practice, and build confidence at their own pace.
-
That's okay.
Some children walk into a new environment ready to participate immediately. Others prefer to observe first.
We respect different temperaments and give children opportunities to become comfortable with the space, instructor, activities, and other children.
Participation doesn't have to look exactly the same for every child.
-
We encourage participation without expecting every child to interact with every activity in exactly the same way.
Young children learn through exploration, and sometimes observing is part of that process.
Our small-group environment gives us more flexibility to support children as they become comfortable and engaged.
-
Parents or caregivers participate during programs specifically designated as Parent & Me.
Some of our other enrichment programs are designed for children to participate independently.
The program description will clearly indicate whether caregiver participation is required.
Registration & Scheduling
-
Choose the class or program you're interested in from our current schedule and follow the registration instructions.
Because our classes are intentionally small, availability may be limited.
-
Advance registration is recommended and may be required for many Circle Time programs.
Our small class sizes mean spaces can fill quickly, particularly for popular programs and seasonal events.
-
Trial classes are available for all programs through the Sawyer system and are for new families only.
For Learning Pods, a trial class is required before enrollment so we can ensure your child is comfortable participating independently in a small-group setting.
-
If a class has reached capacity, additional availability or a waitlist may be offered depending on the program.
Contact us if you're interested in a full class. Knowing which programs families want also helps us plan future sessions.
-
Yes!
Throughout the year, Circle Time may offer seasonal classes, themed learning experiences, workshops, and special events in addition to our regular programs.
Check our Events page or current schedule for what's coming next.

Preparing for Class
-
Comfortable clothes that allow your child to move, explore, and get creative are best.
Some Circle Time activities involve paint, sensory materials, art supplies, water, or other wonderfully messy ingredients.
Please dress your child accordingly.
-
What you’ll need can vary depending on the program your child is enrolled in.
For Parent & Me classes, no snacks or additional items are needed unless otherwise noted in your class details.
For Learning Pods, please send a small, light snack and a water bottle for your child. We recommend keeping snacks simple and not too large, as we typically have a short snack break during class.
For all programs, non-slip socks are recommended to help children move safely and comfortably in the classroom.
If a specific class requires anything additional, we will always include that information in your registration confirmation or class description.
-
Sometimes—and we consider that part of the fun!
Sensory play, art, science experiments, painting, and hands-on exploration can occasionally get messy.
We design these experiences intentionally because children can learn an incredible amount when they're able to actively investigate materials rather than simply watch.
Our Approach
-
Circle Time is an enrichment program, not a traditional daycare.
Our focus is on thoughtfully designed small-group learning experiences that complement children's development through play, exploration, creativity, and connection.
-
Our intentionally small groups are an important part of the Circle Time experience.
Rather than placing children in a large activity group, we create environments where young learners have opportunities to participate, communicate, experiment, and form genuine connections.
We combine that small-group setting with thoughtfully planned, hands-on experiences designed specifically for early childhood.
-
Play and hands-on exploration are important parts of our approach.
Young children learn through doing—touching, moving, building, experimenting, imagining, talking, creating, and trying things for themselves.
Our activities are intentionally designed to support learning and development while still feeling engaging and joyful to children.
